Spinal surgery for most people can be a frightening diagnosis to hear from a doctor. My experience with Dr. Melikian and staff was everything but frightening. His staff professionally aligned all the necessary insurance paperwork making it easy for me to focus on my surgery date. Dr. Melikian sat with me and explained every step of my procedure and answered every question I had about my outcome. His explanation was on point and I rebound back from my bilateral decompression surgery in no time. I actually returned to light duty work earlier than expected and I’ve never felt better. I did a lot of research on spine surgeons in the LA area and collected a number of recommendations before choosing Dr. Melikian. You're probably doing the same thing right now, so I want to help you out: you won't find a better doctor. Full stop. He is highly skilled, experienced, has an excellent track record, and he's a fantastic human being. He listens, he explains everything, he cares about the pain that you're in -- I've never had a doctor who responds faster to an email. No idea how he does it all. Also, he's not the surgeon who pressures you to skip straight to the surgical option. With his guidance, I made significant progress on my neck pain with PT and a chiropractor. But ultimately, I needed to have him perform a cervical disc replacement for full relief. And the entire process -- the scheduling, working out the financials and insurance, the surgery and post-op -- was stunningly painless. Cecelia and Noor at the office, and the gang of nurses who took care of me before and after surgery, are an all-around professional and warm group of people. I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Melikian and his staff.

I have suffered with low pack pain for several years. I've tried chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, epidural injections, and rest.
