I woke up one Friday morning at 29 years old with foot drop. After seeing 3 different doctors, I was luckily recommended to Dr. Melikian who fit me in his schedule that same week. He believed my foot drop was caused by a small herniated disc in my lower spine. Instead of rushing into surgery, Dr. Melikian sent me to a neurologist (who he personally called and got me an appointment) to confirm that nothing else could be causing my foot drop. Once we decided it was time for surgery, he again fit me in quickly (I'm getting married this year and wanted to start rehab asap!) and made the process as easy as possible. The surgery center is stunning, the staff are all incredible, and Dr. Melikian makes himself available for any pre and post questions/concerns you have. I am currently still recovering, but saw immediate progress in my foot the day I had the surgery. I am moving back to Ohio this year, but would travel back to California if I ever need spinal surgery again to have Dr. Melikian treat me. I can't thank him enough!

Could not have asked for a better experience! Dr. Melikian replaced my husband’s disc (L5/S1) at the end of 2023. From the first visit through the last post-surgery follow-up, Dr. Melikian was professional, respectful, and kind. He reviewed all our options, patiently answered all our questions (some multiple times), and clearly explained the procedure, risks, and recovery expectations. His extensive experience with disc replacement, affirming bedside manner, and great team…office staff, surgery center, vascular surgeon, anesthesiologist, etc…made for a successful outcome. My husband is incredibly happy with the results and even happier to no longer be in so much pain.

Dr. Melikian is amazing. From the moment when he walked in the room (on time by the way) I felt heard and important to him. He gave me different options for my back that didn't even include surgery. I am a tennis pro so this is my livelihood and it was so important to feel comfortable with this decision. He has an excellent bedside manner throughout the process. He called to follow up after I was home and he continues to be available whenever I have a question or concern. I absolutely recommend Dr. Melikian without any reservations. He is the best.

I was referred to Dr. Rojeh Melikian by BCO in Manhattan Beach. I had 2 herniated disks in my neck that effected my right arm and hand. I was in excruciating pain in my neck, arm and shoulder, couldn't use my right hand at all and was put on major pain meds for 4 weeks. Dr. Melikian is such honest, knowledgeable doctor. I couldn't go on with the quality of life I was living while running a business and kids in high school. I had to do get out of pain. He encouraged me that surgery was the best solution for me. His amazing assistant helped us fast track getting me on his schedule within a week or so right before the Thanksgiving holiday. His surgery center is beyond amazing, I felt like I was at a 5-star resort. Everyone took such good care of me! The first few weeks was just healing time but by week 3 I was dying to get back on the peloton and run! I'm out of pain, my scare is healing very nicely and I'm waiting for my fingers to come back to life but I know that takes time once you loose the nerve endings. I would highly recommend Dr. Melikian to get you out of suffering and pain!
